Barrington H. Brennen is an ordained minister
of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, a Marriage and Family Therapist,
Counseling Psychologist, Nationally Certified Psychologist (USA), a
Certified Prepare/Enrich Counselor, a musician and recording artist. He
also serves on three national committees: Child Abuse Prevention Committee,
Domestic Violence Task Force, and the Mental Health Committee. He also is a
member of many professional organizations.
He is a published writer, having written more
than 500 articles on issues related to family life, social development and
relationships. In 1984, while living on Crooked Island, Bahamas, he founded
Sounds of Encouragement (SOE),
a ministry dedicated to the restoration of the family though radio programs,
seminars and workshops. The theme for SOE is "Helping People Smile Again."
He regularly appears on radio and television shows in the Bahamas and have
been featured on Three Angels Broadcasting Network.
Barrington is married to the lovely
Annick
of Martinique. They have been married for more than 26 years and have two
children: Marguerite
(23) and Gerard
(20) who are college students. Annick is a teacher and administrative
consultant. She teaches at Bahamas Technical
and Vocational Institute (BTVI). She is also the founder of
DHR - Developing the Human Resource the Education and Training.
Now at the age of 49, both Annick and
Barrington are full of energy, creativity and are enjoying life with their
dog Sergeant
Brennen. They love to spend time together, exercise (especially Annick)
write, cook, fellowship, and surf the internet.
